It's official Barbie will have the the first transgender doll and it is based on the likeness of Laverne Cox- GO SIS! The doll features outfits that can transition into other ensembles including a burgundy corset and even a full body silver and glittery body suit. Laverne Cox reportedly shared that she wasn't allowed to play with dolls as a child and now this is a full circle moment to have the very first transgender Barbie mirror her looks! She was apparently very involved in the design and can't wait for it to hit shelves towards her own 50th Birthday!
