"Winnie the Pooh" is back, but not how you remember him.

Of course, this is not being done by Disney – Winnie entered the public domain in January of 2022.

An independent film director is taking full advantage… making Pooh the centerpiece of a horror film.

Yes, really.

Rhys Waterfield is undertaking "Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey."

Pooh isn't a cuddly animated bear in the film but rather a dark-hearted man in a Pooh mask and various forms of weaponry.

Teasers also show a Piglet mask-wearing accomplice along for the bloody ride.

Not much about the plot is known at this point, but it has the 80s- and 90s-era slasher fun written all over it.
